At too high a dose, or when combined with alcohol or other drugs, many prescription drugs can also become deadly. Prescription drugs are medicines that are legitimately prescribed by doctors to treat a variety of health problems. Some people assume that since they’re legal when prescribed by a doctor, they must be safer than illegal drugs. The truth is that when abused, prescription drugs can be just as dangerous, and even deadly.
